luke book review

Wolfmaster

I sort of liked this book sometime i got stuck into it, but sometimes I wished it would
get to the point.

I reckon this book would be good for boys and girls aged 9 and up.

Wolfmaster is about a young boy named Dane who doesn't like going on camps. His dad convinces Dane to go on a camp. He goes, then he goes on a second camp, he goes into a lake and gets lost, then he runs into a wolf.

Rating: Two and a half stars.

the crocodile nest

The Crocodile nest

This is a exciting adventurous book about a 13 year old boy called Luke who finds out he has a father, and goes looking for him but on the way there are lots of surprises that makes him have second thoughts.

I would rate this book: 4/5
I think that this book would be for about 10 year olds and up

The Destroyer Bay City blast

Rocco Nobile is trying to take over Bay City.He was blackmailing the mayor so he could be the mayor of Bay City.I think this book is for boys because it does NOT have FAIRIES in it. I have rated this book ****because it has got fighting in it.

Mao's last dancer

Summary:Back in 1949 a young boy called li was urged to take chance of a lifetime. He was so young when he left home with no friends to talk to. A few years had past when he had become the best dancer he thought he would never be and he never wanted to go back.

opinion:This is a really interesting book because it's in different contries which is cool to see how other people live.

Age:11 and up.For boys and girls.

rating:Four and a half.

The bone tiki

Tom and I have been reading the Bone Tiki by David hair. We would give it 4.5 out of 5. Our favourite part was when the taniwha crunched up two cars. The bone tiki is about a boy called mat who steals a magical object called the bone tiki. he then runs away and summons a long-dead warrior called Wiri.

hannah teale's good book

The Edge (Collins Readers) by Alan Gibbons also a Blue Peter Book Award Winner is a very cool book violence and has some romance that is not really suitable for under tens.I am now going to type down the blurb. Danny is a boy living on the Edge.A boy teetering on the brink of no return, living in fear.Cathy is his mother. She's been broken by fear.Chris cane IS fear-and they belong to him ...When Danny and Cathy break free of their fear and escape to start a new life, instead of freedom they find prejudice, and danger of a different kind.

MONSTROSITY

This book has four stories and we are going to tell you about GREEN SLIME DINNER TIME.
The story is about Monster (Aka Brewster) staying at his aunt Milldew's house. She is forcing him to eat brussel sprouts. So hi comes up with a plan to get rid of them. we give it 3 out of 5.This book is for boys 8 to 12. we only give it 3out of 5 because we would of better as one story

I was reading Nina of the dark. It was about Nina walking up a huge mountain to find the cave were she was raised. It is a difficult quest. But she doesn't give up.I would recommend this book for 10 year old and up because its hard to understand.I would give it 2 out of 5 stars. We had to do a reading prodject withch there were tasks like summary and stuff.

Buddy Reading

A beautiful sunshiney afternoon at Mahana with all the kids engrossed in their books with their buddies. Fabulous!

Create your own video slideshow at animoto.com.

The Edge

The Edge pulls you in very quickly, the cover personally doesn't draw you in enough to get a lot of readers to read the book (but I suppose you can't judge a book by its cover). If I was to say what age of readers were to read this book, I would say 11 and up because some of the themes wouldn't fit good with younger readers.

The Edge is about a dark skinned boy called Danny and his mother Cathy who are running away from Chris, Cathy's husband . They run to Cathy's parents house, the promised land.

Out of 5 stars I give this book a 3 star rating

The Power Of One

Briar, Izzie, and Georgia have been reading 'The Power of One' by Bryce Courtenay.
The book is about a young boy called Peekay who wishes to be the Welterweight Champion Boxer. Peekay is English and faces a hard childhood in South Africa. He starts of at a boarding school full of Dutch children and grows up to care for everyone. Peekay makes many friends during his challenging years, and learns that life is about everyone being happy and in on it together. This is the power of one.
Our opinion on this book: We like 'The Power Of One' because it challenged us enough to make the book interesting, but didn't bore us to death either! It also has many very stong morals we should all remember in life.
We recommend this book to 12 and over because it has some bad language and violence.
**** star rating.

Beautiful Boxes

I made these boxes ages ago after I learned how to make them at school. I made them during lunchtimes and after school. It took me about 2 days to make them all. The 5 little ones and the 4 big ones in two different sessions. The hardest thing was making the small ones cos it was really fiddly, and the big ones were time-consuming cos I had to tape them all together.
