Nature

Clouds layer the sky like a thick white blanket
Leaves sway on the branches that sway and creak
Bugs crawl over the compact ground
The sun stammers over the mountains reaching the other side

The Taste of Watermelon

I can taste the juicy texture of Watermelon as it dives in the gloom of my mouth.
My empty stomach gulps up every drop wanting more.
The feel of a hard seed takes my mouth by surprise.
I grab fiercely at another piece and stuff it in my mouth.
Bit by bit it starts to disappear!.

Grandads Farewell

It was a seriously sad but sunny day in Rotorua. The urge of crying came closer as every second passed.

A few weeks ago me and my family flew up to the north island, because my grandad was in a very critical condition, he only had 2 months to live. It was a long flight but the thought of driving two hours after that in a car was worse. Eventually we arrived to see my Nana come out of the bright flower curtains with her face held high to greet us. We walk peacefully into the warm comforting lounge to see my grandad eating a peace of rose red water Mellon. You could not even notice he was about to die.

Before we new it he was gone and we were entering the church with tight hearts, sore eyes and loving memory's. Then suddenly the image of him in the hospice bed panting like a fire breathing dragon, mouth open wide and pale white skin, flys circling him like pray as his eyes stay firmly shut.
We sit in the seats at the church watching as all of the photos from grandads life pass even the horses he broke in by himself he also loved hunting, working with tractors and other machinery, he was a kind person and when you needed help he would always be there for you. That is my story of my beloved grandad.

Tarnes post

Hi class how is it going. I had my grandads funeral on Tuesday it was really sad. We bought grandad home for two day so we could say our final good bye. The flys are so annoying up here. My uncle and now my anty have got engaged. There are two horses next door and me and my cousin feed them because they are so skinny. i have been doing a hour of home work a day. I helped my cousin milk cows and one pooped all down my backside. also helped feed calf's they got there horns burned off.  Before grandad died he went out for a hunt and caught a 11 pointer stag.  hope it is going well down there.

Tahuna Hydroslide

In the holidays Meila, Zeta, Hannah, Lucy, and I all went to the Tahuna Hydroslide . It was fun but the not such a great thing about it was having to climb the stairs. The stairs feel like they don't ever end but the slide was a highlight. By Tiarne

The water hole

The crystal water glimmered in the sun. I dashed over to the water hole. My legs still aching from the bike ride. My toes touched the chilly water. After I stood there glaring at the clear water for a while. Then Lucy calls me to come in. I took one step forward.  A shiver rushes up my body. I trudged over to the other side, my legs turning numb. I clamber up the slippery rocks.

As I stood there I thought to myself, "Should I jump in or not?"

Then Lucy jumped in making a big SPLASH! One after another the class jumped off the rocks.

1, 2, 3...I jump off into the clear water. The water makes my body panic and I quickly shoot up to the surface. My head pops out of the water and I feel like an athlete that has just finished a swimming goal.

night games

In the night in the grave yard we were playing spot light we started at the fence and then
we sneaked of into the night and hide and when the spotters came to get us we had to drop
to the ground so they wouldn't find us the first people in were Tiarne, Hunter and Lucy we . had to spot people before they get back to base the base was the hall that we where we were staying
personally I think the spotters were cheating because they were shining the light in the two places
that we could get out from! it was sort of annoying but in the end we got to base so it was awesome.
night. we had to hide behind Graves the spotters couldn't find us it was so so so cool
