Zoos are great

I think that zoos are a good thing.
The zoo is a popular place to inspire everyday people there also great for educating young adults.
The animals are basically in there natural habitat.

When food time comes zoo keepers tie food to the trees to make the animal feel as if there hunting down there food as if they were in the wild. After a generous feed the animals slowly fall asleep in there trustworthy enclosure for a good night sleep.

Most zoos breed and help endangered animals which highly effects there extinction.
The health of the animals are one of the zoo keepers top priorities.

Master Chef Contestant Takes Movie 'Frozen' to a whole New Level

Master Chef Contestant Mo-Mo Stachio was crowned winner after two of the other contestants mysteriously disappeared.

The search started at the hotel the finalists were staying at. But clues lead to the Master Chef kitchen and the bodies were later found in the freezer. Forensic scientists have found evidence leading to Mo-Mo Stachio's egg beater, which was found at the crime scene dripping with what was later confirmed as Indigo Angel's blood.

The two contestants Indigo Angel (17) and Lemur Shell (21) went missing at 3.27pm yesterday.
The bodies were found at 1.39pm today.

Mo-Mo Stachio is still in police custody and awaiting his trail in court. So we can safely say the only cooking Mo-Mo will be doing is in the prison kitchen.

My Poppa

Although he is old, he carries a young heart.

Daisy

Hiding its beauty in the long still grass.

The short daisy sways in the wind.

The sun shines hitting its each petal.

The steam slithers its way up to the refreshing leaves.

Netball game

On Thursday at netball practice, I was chosen to play G.A 'goal attack for Saturday's game.

Before the game on Saturday Mum made me shoot 100 hoops but I didn't get them all in.

We played against Broadgreen Intermediate . I was really nervous. The final score was 10 all.

I shot nine of the ten goals which was pretty good.

Our team is called Mapuana, we have players from Mapua and Mahana.

When I got home Dad said I did well and it must have been "because I did all that practice".

My dad cooking on the barbecue

I love to watch my dad cooking meet on the barbecue. My dad likes me to help him with the barbecue. Bringing empty plates in and taking plates out full of good. When my dad ignites the barbecue and spreads the oil on it starts to spit and sizzle and fly on my skin, it stings for a second then the flame dies out and the pain goes away. He then flops the meet on the barbecue with the spatula and the spit and sizzle come back but dies away quickly. Once the meet  is cooked in the middle dad will turn the barbecue off and plate up. "This will be delicious " dad says with a smile on his face. "It smells really good" i say "bet it taste better then it smells" mum said. We all sit down and compliment dad as we eat the delicious meet my dad has cooked. "I wish i could cook as good as you can on the barbecue " i said.

ART

I painted this picture at the school holiday program with Helena. We got the ideas from post cards and greeting cards. Using oil paints we mixed them together to create the colours we needed for the landscape.

We made an orange wash to spread over the canvas, then added on the water, sky, sand and mountains. My favourite part on the painting is the grass. To make this grass Helena gave me a brush that looked like a fan. I mixed five different types of green and yellow to make the colour of the grass that is on this picture.

marae vist

On Tuesday the 4th of September our whole school got an amazing opportunity to stay the night at Te Awhina Marae. When we first arrived it was raining so we did the powhiri inside. After the powhiri we all had something to eat, then we set up for night time. After that we got to play some board games then we had dinner. After that it was time for pudding (yummy yummy). Once our bellies were full, we went to bed. Well some of us did, the rest of us were awake from Mr Neal's snoring. After that night we were all tired, so we set off to the beach and that was were our journey ended. By Eylish

My Purple Dress

I love my purple dress it is a long lasting memory of my life. it is purple with roses going along the top of it. now it is eight years old but the last time I wore it I was only two. it lives in my closet amongst many of my other clothes. when I were it it takes me back to the fist wedding I went to I was the flower girl and that was the first time I stepped foot in the dress now that it does not fit me so I keep it up in my closet for a good memory.

This is our movie about a flower growing with a bright sun in the back ground. The flower in the back ground starts from nothing and grows into a nice land.
